Attack against U.S. servicemen in Frankfurt.

Warden Message

March 2, 2011

Mission Germany conveys to all U.S. citizens the following statement by U.S. Ambassador to Germany Philip D. Murphy:

“I am shocked and deeply saddened by the brutal attack against U.S. servicemen today in Frankfurt. My thoughts and prayers are with the families of the service members who were killed and injured, and with their comrades. While all of the facts surrounding the attack are not yet known, I am grateful for the assistance provided by German government officials in protecting U.S. servicemen and women, and in investigating this terrible act. In difficult times, Germans and Americans support each other. I am grateful for Chancellor Merkel’s comments, and for the outpouring of support we have already received from German citizens.”

Mission Germany reminds U.S. citizens that they should take a moment to review the January 31, 2011 Worldwide Caution about the continuing threat of terrorist actions and violence against U.S. citizens and interests throughout the world. U.S. citizens are reminded to maintain a high level of vigilance and to take appropriate steps to increase their security awareness.
