Mission & Vision
Mission
In
line with SACEUR’s strategic priorities and in support of Joint Force
Command Brunssum’s priorities, the mission at CC MAR HQ Northwood is to
provide and employ a military operational capability :
- to preserve peace in the North
Atlantic and Northern Europe,
- to maintain and support current
operations, including the provision of manpower to ISAF and to
support the implementation of the NATO Rapid forces (NRF) concept,
including the provision of maritime advice, and
- to
continue the integration of the Polish navy to NATO as well as
supporting the enlargement by leading the Accession Integration of
the Baltic States’ Navies.
Vision
The vision at CC MAR
HQ Northwood is to be NATO’s most professional and effective maritime
command, prepared in all respects to support joint and
combined missions and operations or whenever or wherever required, and
remained a centre of maritime excellence.
