An Open-Door Event on Exchanges

On January 8, 2010, U.S. Embassy Tunis held an open door event for 60 undergraduate students interested to learn about the various exchange programs offered by the Department of State. Cultural Affairs Officer, Christiaan James, gave a lengthy presentation about scholarship opportunities in the US and opened the floor to Alumni from two of the programs to talk about their life-changing experience program.

This event featured the presence of the "Student-to-Student Club" members which is presided by a Study of the US Alumnus, Achref Aouadi. Achref eloquently conveyed to the attendees the importance of participating in these exchange programs which contribute to a better understanding of American life and institutions and which equip the participant with enough skills liable to make him/her an active member in the community.
