Prior Service Recruiting (PSR) efforts focus on individual Marines transitioning from the active component Marine Corps as well as former Marines already re-established in hometown America.
PSR seeks to marry up trained, qualified, and experienced prior service Marines with:
1. Selected Marine Corps Reserve (SMCR) units.
2. Individual Mobilization Augmentation (IMA) billets assigned to active component Operational Sponsors.
The PSR mission is to access the appropriate number of Reserve Marines, enlisted and officer, to meet Marine Forces Reserve manpower requirements and to enable the Marine Corps Reserve to meet authorized end strength.
