The E-Travel System (eTS) initiative supports the President’s Management Agenda as part of the E-Gov mission to improve the internal efficiency and effectiveness of the federal government. This Federal initiative is being managed by GSA and consolidates the Federal travel process in a web-centric environment, covering all aspects of travel planning, authorization and reservations; to travel claims and voucher reconciliation. The E-Travel initiative leverages administrative, financial and information technology best practices, and has re-engineered the entire travel process for realized cost savings and improved traveler satisfaction.

The Department of Energy selected the GSA E-Travel system GovTrip as the E-GOV solution to support DOE travel nationwide.
