Lepua Area

Lepua Village Shoreline Protection Project is located on the north coast of Pago Pago Harbor on Tutuila Island. The project was authorized by Section 103 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1962 at a cost of $1,712,000 (Federal: $1,312,000; non-Federal: $400,000).

The project consists of a 3,100-foot revetment. The Lepua project was constructed jointly with the Masefau SPP in September 1991. The local sponsor is the American Samoa Government.
