U.S. Embassy Press Statement: The U.S. Embassy strongly supports the March 27 Order of the High Representative

The U.S. Embassy strongly supports the March 27 Order of the High Representative temporarily suspending two Decisions of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina issued on 24 March 2011. This decision will remove legal ambiguity regarding the status of the elected authorities of the FBiH until the Constitutional Court of the FBiH reaches a decision on these matters.

The Order of the High Representative allows for the functioning of Federation institutions so that pressing concerns of the citizens and important issues can continue to be addressed.
