Interactive map of the performance of all Job Corps centers

The Office of Job Corps is committed to delivering a greater level of openness and transparency.  Whether it’s for potential students and their parents or guardians, policy makers, or the public at large, we want to ensure that information about the program is readily available and user-friendly.

As part of the Office of Job Corps’ ongoing efforts to improve dissemination of performance data, we have launched an interactive map on our website, which showcases the performance of all Job Corps centers nationwide.   The map details each center’s performance results in 14 categories that include training and placement information for Job Corps students.  Users can select any state on the interactive map to view information for each of the centers within that state.

You can access the map at this tab: http://www.jobcorps.gov/AboutJobCorps/performance_planning/omsdata.aspx.

A brief “How to” video is available here:  http://www.jobcorps.gov/home.aspx.

As we focus on offering the quality education and training to our students at 125 centers nationwide, we are excited about this new and innovative way of telling our story!

Edna Primrose is the National Director for the Office of Job Corps.

Hello my name is Carolyn Youngs, I am 50 years old and have been working with troubled youth for quite sometime. I have an A.S in Law Enforcement and a B.S in Criminal Justice. I have also worked as a Youth Counselor in the Juvenile Detention center. Currently I have been volunteering for the past year requiting young people to send up and join Job Corps. I have met far too many youth on their way to prison or to their graves and is trying to save as many as I can, by presenting this program to them.
