BJACH Patient Appointment System

Access to Care

BJACH Centralized Appointment Line

Open 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday-Friday.

Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital has a centralized phone system allows you to call in to a single number - 531-3011 - for pretty much anything you may need from the hospital. Beneficiaries are able to choose from options to get information, to make or cancel appointments, to get refills or leave messages for your healthcare providers.

Option 1 - Primary Care Appointments (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Pediatrics; Periodic Health Assessments (PHA); or if you wish to speak with a Triage nurse, select this option.
Patients will first speak with a booking agent who will inquire regarding the type of appointment required and either schedules the appointment, or warm transfers to a Triage nurse.

   A. Triage nurses will assist patients in meeting their urgent acute care needs. If BJACH does not have an urgent care appointment available with the assigned Primary Care Manager (PCM) or PCM Team, the Triage nurse will help schedule the patient with another home if possible.
   B. Routine booking agents will assist patient in scheduling appointments for non-urgent care. Appointments for routine medical concerns must be made within 7 days of the request. If no appointments are available, the agent will record the patient's information and coordinate with the Triage nurses to access the best course of action. Patients needing wellness exams can receive the next available appointment (even beyond 14 days) of the request.
   C. Patients needing to renew a prescription with no remaining refills or to find out about test results, select this option. An agent will send your request to the correct assigned team member. However, it may take up to three business days for the provider to enter the medication or contact the patient with test results.
   D. Soldiers assigned to Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital may schedule their Periodic Health Assessments (PHA) by choosing this option.
If no appointments are available, booking agents will place the patient on a waiting list.
School and sports physicals are not covered benefits under the TRICARE Program and cannot be referred outside of BJACH for appointments. Agents will contact patient to schedule wait list request appointments in the order they are received as soon as the next appointment is available.

Option 2 - To cancel an appointment, select this option.
Patients may leave a message and an appointment agent will cancel the appointment. Currently there is no automated mechanism to reschedule, however, if patients express a desire to reschedule in their message, they will be called to reschedule.

Option 3 - To refill a prescription medication that has refills available, select this option.
Patients selecting this option are transferred to the pharmacy to request the refill electronically. The system will prompt the patient regarding prescription availability and pick up dates. You may also call the Pharmacy Refill line at 531-DRUG (3784). This line is open 24/7.

Option 4 - To schedule an appointment or speak to a representative from a specialty clinic, select this option.
Patients will be given another menu of options corresponding to the specialty service they wish to select. (ORTHO, GEN SUR, OB, EENT, PT, OT, Radiology, Nutrition Care, Behavioral Health)
