Locations
Chillicothe VA Medical Center serves Veterans from a 19-county area in southeastern Ohio. In addition to our main medical center in Chillicothe, we offer a number of services to our patients in five community-based outpatient clinics located in Athens, Cambridge, Lancaster, Marietta, and Portsmouth. A Rural Health Outreach Clinic in Wilmington, Ohio, is also run by the facility.
Waiting Areas
For your convenience and safety, we have special waiting areas throughout the facility. Please do not gather in the hallways or at the nurses' stations. You may also want to review our Visiting Hours and Policies.
A Patient Education Resource Center (building 31, Room 013)and Veteran Library (building 211, ground floor) are also available for use during your visit with the Chillicothe VA Medical Center.
Food and Refreshments
The Patriot Bistro serving Starbucks Coffee and specialty drinks, pastries, salads and sandwiches is located in Building 211 for your convenience. A Cafeteria and Retail Store are also located in Building 28 with a wider selection if so desired.
Security
Chillicothe VA Medical Center has a Police Service which provides 24-hour patrols of the facility and parking lots. For general police assistance, please dial 7004. In case of an emergency, dial 222. Report all suspicious or criminal activity, vehicle accidents, and personal property losses to the VA Police while on the facility grounds as soon as possible.
Because the Chillicothe VA Medical Center is federal property, all persons and bags are subject to search. In addition, no weapons, alcohol, or illegal drugs are permitted.
Chapel
A nondenominational chapel is located in Building 252. Protestant Worship Services and Catholic Mass are held on a regular basis. Please contact Chaplain Service at extension 7201 for additional information or to speak with one of our chaplains.
