Unlike the Site Wide Public Tours where cameras are not allowed, participants are welcome to bring cameras on the historical B Reactor specific tour.

Registration will begin at 12:01 a.m., on Tuesday, March 20, 2012. A portion of tour slots are filled on a first-come first-served basis through an online registration system; tour registrations are also available on a first-come first-served basis through calling (509) 376-1647, or signing up at the B-Reactor Tour Headquarters located at 2000 Logston Boulevard, Richland, Washington. There is no cost to participate in a Manhattan Project B Reactor Tour.

The Manhattan Project B Reactor Tours are open to citizens of any country.

All tour participants must be at least 12 years of age. Families registering a minor child will complete the registration for the adults in their party and put in a placeholder slot for their minor child/children. THEY MUST THEN CALL 376-1647 DURING NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday Thru Thursday). Our tour office will then contact an adult in the party to complete registration for the child/children by phone. Guests under the age of 18 MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A PARENT/GUARDIAN ON THE TOUR. There are no exceptions to this rule.

More than 20,000 visitors have toured the B Reactor since 2008 from all 50 States and over 36 countries. This has culminated in the reduction of the minimum age requirement from eighteen to twelve years in 2012. Interpretive items and historical displays are exhibited along the tour route with an informative presentation of the history and significance of the B Reactor. The Department of Energy has gone to great lengths to ensure that the facility is safe and that any potential hazards for your child have been removed or sealed to prevent any contact with our visitors. The facility is vigorously inspected prior to each tour to ensure a safe and enjoyable visit. Because your child is under eighteen (18) we are required to obtain a parental/guardian release before allowing your child to participate in the tour.

Further information on the tours will be posted on this website as it becomes available.
