NNEC Administrative Information

The only method to register is through the NNEC Conference website. All persons wishing to attend the conference are required to register no later than 22 April 2013. The conference fee is €150,00 (EURO). Payment will be required via credit card when registering for the conference. Once you register online, you will be asked to provide your email address and your own password; your password will grant you access to the site to make changes to your initial registration if needed. All online transactions are monitored by the ACT Conference Coordinators.

Hotel

For bookings at the Corinthia Hotel, please complete the required information on their website. The hotel will collect all fees for the conference dinner and lunches as you register for your room.

NATO has negotiated with the hotel for a block of pre-reserved rooms to be held for all NNEC Conference attendees. Attendees should book their rooms (one month prior) by 22 March 2013 to ensure they receive the negotiated rate.

Breakfast is not included. Room rates include free Wi-Fi access in the rooms and conference facilities.

Cancellation Policies

  • Hotel: If required, individuals are responsible for cancelling their own hotel rooms. Please contact the hotel on their room cancellation policy.
  • NNEC Conference: Conference registration cancellation must be received by 22 April 2013 by the NNEC Conference coordinators to ensure you are credited back your conference fee. No reimbursement will be provided for cancellations received after this date.

Conference Registration Check-in

All attendees are required to visit the conference registration desk (located in hotel lobby area) in order to register and pick up their conference package, name tags and social invitations. The registration desk will be open on Monday 22 April 2013 from 1000-1800hr and Tuesday morning.

Transportation from/to Airport

Attendees are responsible for their own transportation to/from the conference venue. The Lisbon Portela Airport is located 7km from the conference hotel. Attendees should use a taxi; average cost is around €10,00 from the airport to the hotel.

Social Events

  • Icebreaker: An Icebreaker social hosted by the Chief of the Portuguese Armed Forces General Staff, is scheduled for Monday evening (22 April) and will take place at the Portuguese Air Force Mess Hall at Monsanto from 19:00-20:30. Bus transportation will be provided. Dress for the Icebreaker is casual.
  • The Conference Dinner is scheduled for Tuesday evening (23 April) in the Corinthia hotel. The dinner is optional. The price is €52,50 per person. Dress for the dinner event is informal (business/lounge suit). The Dinner fee will be collected via the hotel registration site. Entertainment will be provided.

Exhibits

Opportunities are available for Industry to set up an exhibition display. Please contact us for additional information, as space is limited.


The conference will be conducted at the OPEN/ UNCLASSIFIED classification level.

Conference attendees should wear civilian informal (jacket and tie) or Military equivalent uniform during the conference sessions.

There will be no official spouse program.

The conference needs the correct balance of attendees from NATO entities, Nations and Industry to ensure success. Should an unexpectedly high number of people respond; ACT reserves the right to restrict numbers.

The NNEC Conference website will be updated on a regular basis and will include the conference agenda, guest speaker information, read-ahead material, hotel information, and any administrative details that attendees may need to prepare for attending the conference.
