NOAA is seeking public comment on the proposal to revise the list of special use permits applicable in national marine sanctuaries. NOAA proposes to modify three of the five existing categories and to add two new categories of special use permits: recreational diving near the USS Monitor and fireworks displays. NOAA has begun a public process to review the boundaries for its Gulf of the Farallones and Cordell Bank national marine sanctuaries off northern California. The agency is soliciting public comments on this boundary review through March 1.
