MISSION
The Marine Corps Business Enterprise Office exists to improve warfighting excellence through a continuous commitment to perform business processes better and at lower cost.
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
Optimize resources by increasing effectiveness and efficiency:
Improve performance and reduce cost through continuous improvement and end-to-end process analysis and review
Sustain effective implementation of competitive sourcing strategy
Sustain Strategic Purchasing Initiatives
Improve Management of the Extended Enterprise (external service providers)
Enable the workforce to achieve business objectives:
Define and develop in-house business skills, abilities and competencies necessary to manage the business enterprise
Establish a sustaining framework and implement business skill training program
Define, collect, store, and make easily accessible, standard business information compliant to SFFAS #4: Management Accounting (i.e. full cost of standard processes and standard outputs that are, in turn, linked to standard performance measures)
Provide effective governance and coordination:
Maintain effective governance of USMC Business Transformation efforts
Interact effectively with OSD/DoN business transformation organizations
Publish appropriate policy and guidance
Manage the Marine Corp Productivity Investment Fund
Share benchmarks and best practices
