Local Government Support Project

Region:  Center

The Local Government Support Project is implemented within the framework of an assistance agreement between USAID and the Government of Moldova. The project will improve local services and infrastructure in the country by helping local governments increase their capacity to plan, finance and manage infrastructure, municipal services, and energy efficiency projects. This will strengthen decentralization and the linkages between local governments and citizens. The Local Government Support Project has three interrelated components: 1) improve municipal service delivery, including planning, service management and service quality and quantity; 2) increase revenues available to local governments and improve financial management; 3) improve municipal energy efficiency in rayon towns.
