Additional Information | Topics: • Intelligent systems for threat assessment • Systems and architectures • Emitter detection, identification and localization • Survey of commercial system developments • Interoperability • Efficiency • Optimization • Data validation • Real time data sharing Background: Due to the fast evolution of the EW threat space, driven by commercial off the shelf technology development, NATO nations need to develop concepts, systems and architectures that are able to maintain pace with the threat evolution and ensure NATO dominance of the electromagnetic spectrum. This entails development of intelligent systems and architectures that are optimized to react quickly and efficiently to the threat, to ensure trusted near time data sharing, interoperability and produce a common operating picture. This Specialist Meeting will address systems, concepts, architectures and technological developments for next generation EW systems that will enable the ability to address fast evolving threats, interoperability among NATO EW systems and ability to provide near real time sharing of ES data will enhance NATO EW capabilities. Objectives: Provide participating nations with a solid understanding of: • Evolving threat assessment • National interests and existing efforts in next generation EW • Critical issues for future R&T efforts. • Suggest areas for further NATO research activities. |
