Deputy Chief of Mission
 

Mr. Robert J. Faucher arrived in Brussels on March 26, 2010 to take up his duties as Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Brussels.  He came directly from an assignment as Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Dublin. 

Mr. Faucher joined the Foreign Service in 1985 and in addition to Ireland, has served overseas in Suriname, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Belgium (at the U.S. Mission to the European Union) and the United Kingdom.  In Washington, at the State Department, Mr. Faucher has served on the EU Desk, the Bureau of Intelligence and Research and the Legal Adviser’s Office.

Mr. Faucher was born in Landstuhl, Germany and grew up in Phoenix, Arizona.  He holds BA and JD/MBA degrees from Arizona State University, an LLM degree from Edinburgh University and an MS degree from the National Defense University’s National War College.
