Vancouver Campus

The Vancouver Division is located 12 miles north of Portland VAMC on the Washington State side of the Columbia River. The 50-acre campus houses a variety of clinics, services and programs serving the physical and mental health needs of Veterans, and provides housing and vocational opportunities. Eight psychologists, offer clinical services on-site.

Vancouver Campus

Bed services and housing programs for Veterans on campus include a Nursing Skilled Care Unit with an eight bed hospice section, Comprehensive Rehabilitation Unit, Transitional Lodging Unit, and longer-term Housing Facility. A Lodging Unit is available for Veterans who are being assessed and/or treated by the Portland VAMC/OHSU Regional Liver and Kidney Transplant teams.

Vancouver Campus

The Center for Community Health was built in 2005 to house inpatient and outpatient Mental Health and Substance Abuse specialty programs and related community health services. Veterans in the local community have convenient access to many of the services housed in this center including: subacute and acute detox beds, a crisis mental health unit with beds for involuntary detentions, an outpatient clinic for individuals with chronic mental illness and substance use disorders, and HIV and TB testing. The Vancouver campus is also headquarters for the regional VISN (Veterans' Services Network), which oversees the budgets and operations of VAs in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Alaska.

Parking and shuttle services are available between the Portland and Vancouver campuses.
