Epidemiology & Disease Control performs systematic study of factors influencing and
determining disease or conditions in a specific population.
Also, routine collection, analysis, and breakdown of data is initialized to prevent and
control communicable diseases. Consisting of an epidemiology technician, Epidemiology
& Disease Control monitors outbreaks, injuries, & conduct sexually transmitted disease
and other infectious disease classes to ensure prevention and disease control.
The first step to preventing and controlling communicable diseases is reporting the problem. This is one of the most important aspects of public health surveillance. Without data, trends cannot be monitored and the effectiveness of intervention actions cannot be evaluated. |
