LTC Brian D. Martin
Deputy Commander for Administration/Chief of Staff

LTC Brian A. Martin received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business
Management from the University of Northern Iowa (UNI) in 1991 and received his
commission as a second lieutenant in the Medical Service Corps through UNI's
ROTC program as a Distinguished Military Graduate. He received his Masters in
Health Services Management from Webster University in 1995 and a Masters in
Business Administration from Syracuse University in 2001.
LTC Martin’s military education includes the Army Command and General Staff
College, the Combined Arms Service Support School, the AMEDD Officer Basic and
Advanced Course, and the Combat Casualty Care Course. In addition, he has earned
the Expert Field Medical Badge (EFMB) and was awarded both the Department of the
Army Staff and Recruiter Badge.
His most recent assignment was with the Northern Regional Medical Command as the
Deputy, Assistant Chief of Staff for Resource Management (G8). Other military
assignments include serving on Department of the Army/OTSG One Staff, Health
Financial Policy Division; Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Fort Meade and Fort
Knox MEDDACs; Chief, Financial Program, TRICARE North; Team Leader, 1st AMEDD
Recruiting Brigade; Commander, U.S. Army Health Clinic, Fort Greely, AK;
Administrative Officer, Brooke Army Medical Center; Maintenance Officer, 41st
Combat Support Hospital.
LTC Martin’s military awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (4OLC), the
Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Army Commendation Medal (2OLC), and the
Army Achievement Medal.
