Spc. Esmeralda Garcia, 6th Medical Logistics Management Center, graduated from Warrior Leader Course class #015-12 Noncommissioned Officer Academy, Fort Indiantown Gap, Pa., Sept. 29.

Garcia started the course in the beginning of September and graduated with 102 other Soldiers after successfully completing all requirements to become an NCO. During the graduation ceremony, the guest speaker, 1st Sgt. Glen D. Turk from 298 Signal Battalion, Fort Detrick, Md., congratulated the WLC graduates and encouraged them to lead Soldiers by listening and caring for them.

WLC, formerly called Primary Leadership Development Course, is the first leadership course NCOs attend. WLC is a month-long course that teaches specialists and corporals the basic skills to lead small groups of Soldiers. The course is physically challenging and intensive, and places emphasis on leadership skills to prepare Soldiers to advance to the rank of sergeant.

Soldiers from 6MLMC including Col. Michael Talley, 6MLMC commander, attended the graduation to congratulate Garcia and to wish her continued success in the Army as an exemplary NCO.
