CD&E Working Group 2013

cde wg 2013 logoThe annual Concept Development and Experimentation (CD&E) Working Group (WG) will take place over the period 12-14 March 2013 at the Westin Virginia Beach Town Center Hotel, Virginia Beach, VA, USA.

Purpose:

Whilst the main purpose of the CD&E WG is to conduct the necessary technical validation of the 2014 CD&E proposals, it also offers the Nations and other NATO Organisations the opportunity to collaborate with ACT by comparing CD&E Programmes of Work and where possible integrating national and ACT CD&E activities. In addition Nations will also be requested to express their areas of interest to HQ SACT in order to generate discussion on possible future CD&E activities that could be of benefit to the Alliance. Nations are also offered the opportunity to deliver presentations on any national CD&E-related topics or activities.

Attendance:

The CD&E WG is targeted at national and NATO organisational representatives in the rank of NATO OF-5 and below, that have extensive knowledge of CD&E activities within their nation and/or NATO organisation. WebEx web conferencing will also be available throughout the event for those unable to attend. This should prove especially helpful for those SMEs wishing to participate in specific agenda items. Further login instructions will be distributed in the near future.

Language and Classification:

The program will be 'NATO UNCLASSIFIED' and will be presented and published in English. Translation services will not be available during the WG.

Read-ahead Packages, Presentations and other materials:

The read ahead material for the 2013 CD&E WG will be distributed in two parts; the first read-ahead package containing the majority of the CD&E elements for the 2014-18 CD&E POW was distributed in late January 2013; the second read-ahead package will be distributed on 19 February 2013.

The WG presentations and other materials will be posted on the ACT CD&E internet portal (UNCLASS) shortly after the conclusion of the WG. Access to this portal requires individual registration here.
