Mandatory Training Resources
TYPE KEY: = PDF, = Gov site, = Non-Gov site, PPT = Powerpoint, DOC = Word Professional, Technical, and Site RequirementsIn addition to Department-wide legal requirements and mandatory office and site requirements, many individuals in DOE have a professional or occupational requirement to maintain certifications and licenses. Attorneys, licensed professional engineers, certified public accountants, and medical professionals are just some of the employees who need to attend training and educational programs to maintain good standing in their professions. Individual employees need to know the requirements for their own professional fields. The Department also has formal continuing education requirements for contracting officials, including contractor officer's representatives and purchase card users, project managers, security and safety officers, supervisors and managers, and employees performing oversight functions at defense and civilian facilities. Employees can connect to Department programs at Career Development and Mission Critical Programs. Your Individual Development PlanMandatory and professional qualifications training should not dominate your individual development plan, but this training has to be taken into account when allocating funds for training and training-related travel, allocating work time to attend training, and providing backup for employees attending training. Each organization has to allocate its limited training resources as part of Training Management. Page last updated: 11/20/12 |
