4th Battlefield Coordination Detachment

The 4th Battlefield Coordination Detachment is the major subordinate command of USARCENT which serves as the liaison between ground and air components to facilitate and synchronize air and ground operations within its assigned Area of Responsibility (AOR). The 4th BCD conducts split based operations, serving as the liaison to USAFCENT and 9th Air Force Headquarters at Shaw AFB and as the liaison between U.S. Forces- Iraq (USF-I), International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan, and the CENTCOM Combined Forces Air Component Commander (CFACC) at the Combined Air and Space Operations Center in the CENTCOM AOR.
