The USGS Astrogeology Team created some of the finest cartographic products of Mars using data from Viking Oribter. Some of these products include global mosaics, north and south polar stereographic maps, globes, and hemispheric views. The imagery from Viking is still being used today to verify and control incoming Mars data from newer missions.
