The Navy Reserve Intelligence Program Office (RIPO-18) provides reserve units and individuals that are ready for immediate mobilization in the event of war or other contingency whose intelligence collection, analysis, production, and management capabilities are responsive to the needs of the active forces. RIPO-18 is also the command and control headquarters for five other Naval Intelligence Commands. One if its subordinate commands, Joint Forces Intelligence Command 0197 (JIFC-0197), is also located at Fort Devens and operates within the Northeast Army Reserves Intelligence Support Center. JIFC-0197 is the only joint command located at Devens and it supports active duty forces worldwide.
