Basic Purpose |
| |
Performs hydrologic research on a regional scale for the assessment of water resources sustainability and environmental impacts associated with energy production and climate variability. |

Knowledge, Skills and Experience |
| |
Considerable
Knowledge of hydrologic processes, watershed modeling, model calibration and optimization, hydroclimatology, and water resource management, including water resource aspects of crop growth, power generation, and hydro-ecosystem.
Knowledge of regional-scale modeling and computer programming languages, as well as GIS. |

Knowledge of statistical data analysis and uncertainty analysis.
Knowledge of data management software for use in data analysis.
Skill in integrating and evaluating data.
Skill in written and oral communications. |

Some
Experience with hydrologic and hydrogeologic models such as SWAT and MODFLOW, and GIS is highly desirable. |
