Job Description |
|
Basic Purpose |
|
Performs hydrologic research on a regional scale for the assessment of water resources sustainability and environmental impacts associated with energy production and climate variability. |
|
|
|
Knowledge, Skills and Experience |
|
Considerable Knowledge of hydrologic processes, watershed modeling, model calibration and optimization, hydroclimatology, and water resource management, including water resource aspects of crop growth, power generation, and hydro-ecosystem.
Knowledge of regional-scale modeling and computer programming languages, as well as GIS. |
|
Good Knowledge of statistical data analysis and uncertainty analysis.
Knowledge of data management software for use in data analysis.
Skill in integrating and evaluating data.
Skill in written and oral communications. |
|
Some Experience with hydrologic and hydrogeologic models such as SWAT and MODFLOW, and GIS is highly desirable. |
|
