Job Description
  Basic Purpose
  Develops novel materials (e.g. electrodes, electrolytes) for use in lithium batteries with particular attention to the synthesis energy costs, characterizes the structure and the morphology of the materials; assembles and tests energy storage devices and evaluate the performance of the materials and energy storage devices.
   
  Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  Considerable
Skill and experimental expertise in the lithium battery field. Knowledge and experience in materials synthesis.
  Good
Good experience in materials synthesis and characterization techniques. Good skill in devising, performing, and evaluating experiments and in the use and maintenance of laboratory equipment. Good verbal and written communication skills. Good experience in electrochemistry.
  Minimum Education/Experience Requirements
Years Since Ph.D. -- 0-1, 1-2, 2-3
