I work at Aarons and I have never seen anyone ever have this software installed on a computer unless they told us it was stolen or they moved and we could not locate them and they did not return the computer. Matter of fact there is no way to get any of what you are claiming from a computer unless we fill out a stolen property report, have the customer sign it, and submit it. Then and only then will they install the software in an attempt to try to recover it. I have personally gone to court and testified that we had computers stolen on several occasions and the Judge did not care that we used the webcam to prove the person that was stealing it had it. Last year we stopped using this software and when I went to court the Judge demanded to see the photograph of the person I claimed had the computer to prove it was her. I could not and the Judge dismissed the case because of lack of evidence. He scolded me and said that just because I think something does not make it true. Since we stopped using this software we have not been able to get anyone prosecuted for rental theft here in PA. Where is the justice in this?
