Registration

We would like to make your inprocessing as speedy and as efficient as possible. The in-coming sponsor must provide the required below listed documents to our school registrar: (Registration packages will not be mailed and must be completed by the incoming sponsor or spouse upon arrival to this duty station; provided spouse is listed on orders).  We will hand the parents a registration folder which will contain the necessary forms for registration and the parent may either complete the package in the school office or take the package with them and return it when completed.  The parent may also choose to register on-line.  Registering on-line does not mean your child is registered.  The registration process for parents who register on-line will not be complete until the parents come to the school office to complete the required registration forms and provide these required documents:

** Sponsor Original Orders  (and dependent orders if dependents came on separate orders)
* If the dependents are not listed on any orders but are command sponsored e.g. born overseas the school will require the sponsor to complete a DSE Form 803 (Confirmation of Status) through their personnel officer, this form is available at any school but have been also given to MPF.
* If the sponsor has been extended and the orders are expired, the sponsor must provide the school with proof of the extension. The sponsor should use the school DSE Form 803 (Confirmation of Status) which is to be completed by the unit commander or the military personnel office.  The sponsor may also print the new DEROS date from the Virtual MPF or may present any document showing the new DEROS date.  If the tour is Indefinite, proof of such will only have a 12 month validity from the date of issue.

**Birth Certification - Either a Birth certificate or a Passport will be required ONLY for children entering kindergarten or first grade.  Starting SY 2009/10 the new age requirement for kindergarten and first grade students will become 1 September.
**Child's Social Security Number - Social security number is used by the school for computer entry purposes only.
**School Records from previous school and/or the school address when records need to be requested.  A fax number for the old school would be most useful.
**Immunization Records –  Sponsors should go to the Base Clinic to ensure all shots are up-to-date and are entered in their data system.  The clinic will issue parents a computerized print-out to bring to our school nurse.  All shots must be up-to-date as per DoDDS requirements.

INFORMATION FOR PARENTS
Student start date - Teachers must be given notice of their newly assigned student in order to adequately be prepared with a desk, chair, texts, etc.  We also need this time to assign the students to the different school accounts (library, reading, study trip, etc.).  Thus if the child is registered by 1000, the child can begin the next day, on the other hand if the child is registered after 1000, the child will begin 2 days later.  If the child is registered during school breaks, the child will begin on the 2nd day back after vacation in order to give the teacher the due notice.
School Information - Parents will provide information regarding the school and will give parents and necessary available hand-outs, e.g.  handbook, supply list, lunch information, etc.
Students will go on Study Trips during the school year.  Parents will receive notification from the teacher and will be required to give permission each time, unless it is an on-base walking trip in which case you will receive a notification through the teacher and no permission will be required.
School Bus Transportation arrangements will be made by the parents at the Bus Office. Any questions about transportation will be handled by that office.
