Joint Plans, Strategic Studies & Wargaming (N5)

Military Sealift Command's Joint Plans, Strategic Studies & Wargaming Directorate collaborates with the Department of Defense's Unified Combatant Commands, - primarily the U.S. Transportation Command - the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and other DOD agencies to develop and wargame strategic sealift plans that would ensure the ocean delivery of DOD and other U.S. government cargo for future operations. This directorate also plays a key role in executing strategic sealift plans by providing expertise in support of real-world missions ranging from humanitarian assistance and disaster response to combat operations.
