Receive a vocational education while earning a monthly salary in one of the many career fields the North Dakota Army National Guard has to offer. Learn a Vocational Skill
Non-prior service members will attend a military specialty school to train in the job they selected upon joining the North Dakota Army National Guard. Prior service members selecting a different job skill will attend a school to reclassify.
You will continue to sharpen your job skills through training within your unit. The North Dakota Army National Guard provides you the opportunity to attend schools to further your knowledge in your occupation. Leadership schools will teach you management skills as you move up in rank.

Earn a Monthly Salary
Get paid for attending monthly unit training assemblies (UTAs). This part-time job can bring you a starting wage between $11.49 and $16.22 per hour (E-1 - E-4 rank with less than two years time in service). Working one weekend a month (weekend drill) and two weeks a year (annual training) can really add up!
