U.S. Sponsored Seminar on Youth Entrepreneurship for Global Leadership

Islamabad - The U.S. Embassy sponsored a seminar on "Youth Entrepreneurship for Global Leadership" for 100 undergraduate students at the National Library of Pakistan.  The seminar highlighted new ideas in the areas of entrepreneurship, innovation, technology, and leadership.  Students from ten universities in Islamabad and Rawalpindi participated in the seminar.

Seminar participants attended sessions on enterprise development, job creation, and fostering youth entrepreneurship. "The United States is empowering Pakistan's youth entrepreneurs through seminars, exchanges, and training to give them the skills and tools to create a better future," said U.S. Cultural Affairs Attaché Brent Beemer.

Seminar speakers who have participated in the U.S. Embassy's academic and professional exchange programs to the United States included Mardan Ali, Political Advisor to Minister of Youth; Dr. Ijaz Shafi Gillani, Chairman of Gallup Pakistan; and Sahibzada Immanuel Ahmed, Managing Director of Society for Skills, Training and Development.
