U.S. Condemns Wave Of Attacks In Pakistan

Islamabad - The U.S. Embassy in Pakistan strongly condemns the suicide and bomb attacks in Wana, Parachinar, and Peshawar on August 23, which killed and injured several innocent people.

These attacks are especially brutal as so many people in the region are still suffering from the effects of the terrible monsoon flooding.

We extend our deepest sympathies to all the victims of these attacks.  Our thoughts and prayers are with those who have lost loved ones, friends, and family.  The United States will continue to support the people of Pakistan in the fight against violent extremism.
