U.S. Condemns Suicide Attack in Lahore

Islamabad - The U.S. Embassy in Pakistan strongly condemns Thursday's vicious attack at the Data Darbar Shrine in Lahore that killed and injured many innocent Pakistanis.  This senseless act of violence against a peaceful sanctuary demonstrates the terrorists' blatant disregard for the lives of the Pakistani people and the future of this country.

We extend our deepest sympathies to the victims of this attack and send our most sincere condolences to the people of Pakistan.  The United States will continue to support Pakistan in the fight against a common enemy.
