14 February 2012: Discussing Black History Month with Judge Ann C. Williams
Confirmed by the U.S. Senate in 1999, Judge Ann C. Williams is a United States Circuit Judge for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit -- the first African American woman judge on the seventh circuit. On February 14, Judge Williams will discuss the successes and challenges in her career in an an interactive video webcast, and take questions from the online audience.

10 February 2012: Embassy Brings Artist and Activist to Ottawa
Edna Patterson-Petty, a contemporary artist specializing in quilt art from St. Louis, Illinois, returned to Ottawa as part of a grant from the Embassy to display and discuss her work with CBC News Ottawa broadcaster Adrian Harewood at the Ottawa Art Gallery, and coordinate art quilting workshops with Ottawa youth.
