Chefs putting final touches on dessert.

On Tuesday, November 8th, Phil McGauley, Executive Chef at Korbel Champagne Cellars, a California winery, and Brad Fletcher, Managing Director at Brown-Forman Canada, had the opportunity to speak to students in the Culinary Management program at Algonquin College in Ottawa. Both speakers specialize in pairing food and beverages and focused on the importance of proper pairings in the hospitality industry. Chef McGauley shared his experiences in the industry and briefed the culinary students on employment opportunities in California's wine industry. Chef McGauley is in Canada with the help of a U.S. Embassy grant to promote U.S. agricultural products and to disseminate information about U.S. culture, including food, wine innovations and trends.
