Funding is available through the Government of Canada in support of First Nations and Aboriginal students pursuing post-secondary education. The Aboriginal Funding Tool and Financial Assistance search engines provide a listing of the many scholarships, grants and loans available. Be sure and verify eligibility and conditions of the award as not all loans, grants and awards can be taken outside of Canada for study in the U.S.

The Aboriginal Multi-Media Society (AMMSA) publishes a Scholarship Guide currently listing more than 375 scholarships and bursaries available to Aboriginal students.
