Call For Submissions
Each alumna/alumnus uniquely impacts the state or states where he or she spent time in the United States. The U.S. State Department's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs recently launched a campaign with the goal of showing how international exchanges economically and culturally affect each U.S. state. They have compiled an interesting interactive website showing the number of exchange students participating in exchanges in each state along with individual state profiles. You can view the map and links on exchanges.state.gov.
For our upcoming newsletters, we want to know how you uniquely contributed to a US state through submissions of pictures and/or written pieces about your time in one of the US' fifty states. For example, you could submit a picture showing you in front of a state's famous monument or showing the natural beauty of one of the US states.
Please send submissions to Exchange Alumni Coordinator and Newsletter Editor Sandra Weedmark at weedmarksl@state.gov.
