1 November 2012: Embassy and A B Series presents Performing Artist and Poet John Giorno
 

Performing artist and poet John Giorno will be taking part in a dynamic poetry experience as part of this season's A B Series on November 7th. The presentation, co-sponsored by the U.S. Embassy Ottawa, is an opportunity for the public to see some of Giorno's celebrated work in his first-ever appearance in Ottawa.

Giorno is known for organizing a number of multimedia poetry experiments and events, including Dial-A-Poem.

He was also the subject of Andy Warhol's 1963 film Sleep. More recently, Giorno founded the not-for-profit production company Giorno Poetry Systems in New York City.

WHERE: National Arts Centre, 4th stage (53 Elgin St)
TIME: 7:30 p.m.

Special guests Ian Keteku, Brandon Wint, and John Sobol will also be participating in the performance.
