The primary mission of the career planner is to take care of Marines in the unit by assisting them in improving their performance and competitiveness for promotion and retention.
Conducts the Career Planning program to promote the reenlistment of all qualified Marines. Counsels first term Marines on the First Term Alignment Plan and the opportunities associated with it.
- Counsels all Marines on Special Duty Assignments. Conducts screenings for such duties in accordance with MCO 1326.6D.
- Counsels Marines on Promotion Boards and how to track their own career.
- Counsels and assists Marine in applying for various officer programs.
