Students pursuing careers in primary care can receive scholarships for serving communities in need upon graduation and completion of training.
Clinical practice sites can recruit and retain qualified providers by becoming an NHSC-approved site.
The 2013 NHSC Loan Repayment Program is now open to prospective applicants through Tuesday, April 16, 2013. The program offers primary care medical, dental, and mental and behavioral health providers the opportunity to have their student loans repaid while serving in communities with limited access to care.
Retention is on the rise. Corps members choose to remain in underserved communities after their service commitment has ended.
