Hearing Conservation Appointments

Unit Hearing Screens: Soldiers can be scheduled for their annual hearing screen(s)[ IAW DA PAM 40-501 7-2 (a) ] by contacting the Hearing Conservation Medical Clerk at (912) 767-2227 . Units may reserve slots for testing at the Soldier Services Center by platoon, company, battalion or brigade. A POC from the unit is required to reserve test times. Command and control is required from the unit during test sessions.

Failed Hearing Screens: Soldiers and civilians referred to an Audiologist by a Hearing Technician for diagnostic testing can schedule their hearing tests through the Hearing Conservation Medical Clerk at (912) 767-2227. Testing will be completed in the EENT Clinic at Winn Army Community Hospital .

Consultations/Referrals: Soldiers and/or their dependents who receive a referral from their Primary Care Provider for a hearing test can schedule their appointment through the Winn Army Community Hospital Appointment line at (912) 435-6633 for the first available appointment with an Audiologist. The following options should be selected once a recorded voice is heard:

Tell the scheduling clerk you have received a consult for a hearing test. Testing will be completed in the EENT Clinic at Winn Army Community Hospital .

Physicals: Soldiers in need of a hearing screen to complete a required physical (over 40, military school, etc.) will receive the screen at the Troop and Family Care Medical Clinic during Phase 1 of the physical exam process. To schedule a physical, call (912) 435-6619 .
