Cultural Exchange
As a global power active on every continent, the United States has a vital national interest in cultural and scholarly programs that increase our understanding of other cultures and peoples. The President’s Committee plays a leadership role in cultural cooperation, working with its partners to elevate the exchange of ideas, information, art and other aspects of culture among nations and peoples.
Film Forward
Film Forward: Advancing Cultural Dialogue is a continuation of an international public/private cultural exchange effort by the President’s Committee and the Sundance Institute in cooperation with the National Endowment for the Arts, National Endowment for the Humanities and the Institute of Museum and Library Services to foster cross-cultural understanding through cinematic storytelling.
International Cultural Partnerships
The President's Committee supports collaborations and partnerships that advance cultural cooperation through the exchange of ideas, information, art and other aspects of culture among nations and peoples. One such partnership is the Smithsonian Haitian Cultural Recovery Project.
