Short Biography

Duke-Sylvester has a background in English and Information Science.  She is interested in cataloging and information management. A current member of the American Library Association (ALA), she has also been a member of the American Society for Information Science and Technology. Duke-Sylvester enjoys working with patrons and helping people find the information they need. She works at the USGS's National Wetlands Research Center, in Lafayette, LA. She has a longstanding concern with environmental issues, so learning more about wetlands has been fascinating and rewarding.
