Addresses for Air Carriers and Public-Use Airports

Airports

Each year, the Department of Transportation collects passenger boarding data from U.S. certificated air carriers, commuter air carriers, small certificated air carriers, and foreign flag air carriers operating under Parts 121, 125, 129, and 135. In addition, the FAA collects data about nonscheduled operations from air taxi/commercial operators. We use the combined boarding data to determine an airport's category (commercial service or general aviation) and allocate Airport Improvement Program funds to eligible airports.
