Exercise Support Division (ESD)
Mission

Manage, maintain and issue safe and operable equipment to Exercise Forces training aboard MCAGCC (29 Palms) Enhanced Mojave Viper, Advisor Training Group, Marine Corps Tactics Operations Group, Weapons Tactics Instructor/Desert Talon, Tactical Training Exercise Control Group, Explosive Ordnance Disposal, Mountain Warfare Training Center, Range Training and Maintenance, Provost Marshall’s Office and NREA.



Overview
Equipment consolidated at a decisive point (Enhanced Equipment Allowance Pool) to support OEF/OIF pre-deployment training

–Reduces TOT, convoys and temp loans
–Wear & tear on EEAP equipment vice owning units
–Quality maintenance personnel and facilities

Exercise Forces can begin training quickly and focus on subsequent deployment

–Safe, ready to operate equipment
–Facilitate Mojave Viper Support Detachment (MVSD) field maintenance efforts
–Provide MVSD secondary source for repair parts/SECREPs

•Advise MVSD on Maintenance/Supply Issues
EMV Exercise Force
If you are an approved Exercise Force that has been TEEP’d to participate in Enhanced Mojave Viper (EMV) contact Mojave Viper Support Detachment (MVSD) S-4 Officer at (760)830-1218 with questions.

–Your Battalion will draw all required support/equipment from MVSD
–The Equipment Density List that you will draw in support of your training is available through the MVSD S-4 Officer.
–The EDL that you will draw has been approved by Tactical Training Exercise Control Group (TTECG)
Non EMV Exercise Force
If you are a Non EMV/Alternate Training Venue Exercise training force contact MAGTFTC G3 to begin coordinating your training. For the G3 contact number see the G3 section on the MCAGCC website.

–Once your exercise has been approved by MAGTFTC G3 review CCO 3501.1.
Available under the G1 section on MAGTFTC website.
–Issuing of equipment by ESD will be in accordance with CCO 3501.1.
Scheduling the Wash Rack
The MCAGCC Wash Rack is accessible 24 hours a day 7 days a week. 
  • To schedule the use of the Wash Rack call the ESD Operations Chief a minimum of 24 hours in advance. The phone number is 760-830-8889.
  • Wash Rack scheduling is first come first served.
  • The using unit is responsible for policing up the Wash Rack at completion of wash Operations.
