Resources

Red t-shirt with logo "Send Help"We’ve pulled some resources together to help you accelerate your mobile gov efforts.

  1. An overview of Mobile Gov, including the case for mobile, ten challenges facing agencies and the suggestions and dialogue at www.gsa.gov/makingmobilegov
  2. Mobile innovators across government are building the Making Mobile Gov Wiki. This wiki is a community-generated tool to help agencies in building and implementing their mobile strategies. Articles will include tools and examples of agency mobile gov experiences. You can edit, too!
  3. Follow @digital_gov on Twitter for trends + tweets to help agencies build a citizen-centric path for digital access to government. Another good idea, follow the hashtag #mobilegov.
  4. Then, there’s the mobile apps gallery at apps.usa.gov. Great examples of mobile websites, mobile web apps and native apps produced by and on behalf of federal agencies. Very inspiring!
  5. And, of course, you are on the Mobile Gov blog, which features posts on what government is doing in mobile, general mobile news, trends in mobile use, and issues on implementing mobile for the public. You can sign up and have updates sent directly to your email.

We have a mobile gov community of practice, too. If you are in government and  interested in learning more, please contact Jacob Parcell our mobile programs manager.

One last thing. Mobile is more than phones and tablets, it’s really making government available anytime, anywhere and on any device. You can learn more about the Digital Government Strategy and how you can join the movement to make 21st Century digital government real with the Digital Services Innovation Center.
