Fort Bragg’s Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (F&MWR) strives to improve Soldiers’ and Family Member’s quality of life by providing the best programs in the Army. These programs include recreation, restaurants, children’s activities and family services.

F&MWR oversees two 18-hole Golf Courses, Three Bowling Centers, Ice Rink and Inline Outdoor Skating Rink, Army Travel Camp, Riding Stables, Physical Fitness Centers, Indoor & Outdoor Swimming Pools, Recreational Camp & Beach Activities Area, Mountain Bike Trails & Ski Rixen (opening Summer 2011), Child, Youth, & School Services, and Food & Beverage Facilities to include McKellar’s Lodge, Iron Mike’s Brew Pub, Fort Bragg Club, Sports USA, Breen Beret Club, & Yntema Bingo, and many snack bars.

Outdoorsmen can improve their marksmanship at the Clay Target Center. It has 12 ranges—six overlaid with trap, a clubhouse, RV hook-ups, a pro shop and a snack bar. Campers should stop by the Recreation Equipment Checkout Center before heading into the woods. They rent everything from tents to fishing boats to campers. Don’t worry about where to get a barbecue cooker or dunk tank for your next unit party as Recreation Equipment Checkout Center has those as well.

Parents will be pleased with everything Child, Youth, & School Services offers. It oversees accredited child development centers, sports programs, summer camps, as well as before- and afterschool care. Older children will make friends and develop life-long skills at the Tolson Youth Activities Center. The 64,000-square-foot facility features an indoor swimming pool, two gyms, a homework center, a computer lab, a dance studio and a teen room. F&MWR also helps Army Families during trying times. Army Community Service oversees programs on financial readiness, employment, relocation and emergency relief, to name a few.

ACS knows that military families face unique challenges and offers services to help them succeed. A newcomer’s bus tour and classes on how to adapt to the military lifestyle (Army Family Team Building) are free and offered monthly. No matter what you need, F&MWR is here serving America’s Army.
