Schedule an Appointment at the Miami Passport Agency only if:

  • You need your U.S. passport in less than 2 weeks for international travel
  • You need your U.S. passport within 4 weeks to obtain a foreign visa

When You Arrive for Your Appointment

  1. Arrive on time
  • You will not be admitted more than 15 minutes before the scheduled appointment time
  • You will not be admitted more than 15 minutes after the scheduled appointment time
  1. You will be required to pass through building security screening and metal detectors
  1. Take the elevator to the 3rd floor
  2. Check-In at Information Desk
  • You must present your Social Security Number or Appointment Confirmation Number to verify your appointment
  • You must present proof of international travel within 2 weeks of the appointment or proof of emergency abroad
  1. Receive your queue number and take a seat
  • The public waiting area is limited to applicants, required witnesses, and those accompanying minors, disabled applicants, or serving as interpreters

MTA ROUTE: 
Buses are located at the Miami International Airport Lower level Ramps. 
Bus Route 36 arrives at NE 15 and Biscayne Boulevard; this is approximately 1 minute in walking distance to the Passport Agency. 

METRO MOVER: 
The Passport Agency is located across the street from the Metro Mover Omni Station.

Driving Directions

From Miami International Airport:
Take ramp SR- 953 South/NW 42nd AVE/N Le Jeune Rd toward South Le Jeune/Coral Gables. Take ramp right for SR-836/Dolphin Expy East toward Downtown. Keep straight onto I-395 East. At exit 2A, take ramp left for N.E. 2nd Ave. toward Biscayne Blvd. /Arenas. Turn left onto NE 2nd Ave/Abel Holtz Blvd. Turn right onto NE 15th St/Alvah Chapman Blvd.

Parking:

Metered parking is available on Biscayne Blvd and North Bayshore Drive. There is also a parking lot (hourly and daily fees apply) in the OMNI building, as well as other adjacent parking lots in the immediate vicinity of the building. Parking Rates subject to change without notice.

Important Information

  • There is no charge for an appointment at a passport agency. Customers should not pay anyone or any business making such a charge.

Title 18, United States Code, Section 930
Weapons Prohibited at All Passport Agencies – Federal law prohibits the knowing possession or the causing to be present of firearms or other dangerous weapons in Federal facilities and Federal court facilities by all persons not specifically authorized by Title 18 U.S.C., Section 930(c). Violators shall be subject to fine and/or imprisonment for periods of up to five (5) years.
